Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation Environmental Education Grant Program

The Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation funds grant requests to support fair and balanced environment education in Georgia.

To be eligible, applicants must represent: a local or regional Keep America Beautiful (KAB) affiliate, an educational group, a local government, a non-profit group, or an organization that supports the mission of Keep America Beautiful, Inc. The mission of KAB is “To empower individuals to take greater responsibility for enhancing their community environment.”

Grants will be awarded to support planned projects or to enhance existing projects. Only expenses incurred after the award date are eligible, and projects must be completed by June 30, 2008. Grant applications must be submitted by September 28, 2007 . Winners will be announced at the Keep Georgia Beautiful Awards Luncheon on October 25, 2007.

The actual amount of funds to be awarded will be determined solely by the Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation Board of Directors. It is anticipated that the average grant awarded will be $2,000 for a one-time reimbursement of project or program expenses. Awarded grants will be paid upon receipt and approval of a final program report. Eligible expenses include funds to comply with KAB certification requirements, promotional items, and technology expenses. Travel costs will be approved by special consideration only. Ineligible expenses include entertainment, meals, and any expenditure for an activity attempting to influence legislation or participate in any political campaign. Applications not adhering to the prescribed format and word limitation will not be considered.

The Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, Inc. and its agents, board of directors, and members shall not assume any responsibility or liability of any kind for property or personal injury claim(s) that may result from the implementation of an awarded grant project.
